At Swim 2 U®, we protect every child in our care, and we create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Because child safety guides everything we do, we hold a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any form of abuse.
We follow the Victorian Child Safe Standards and the Reportable Conduct Scheme, and we review our procedures often to keep our practices strong and reliable.
Our team completes thorough screening, including National Police Checks, Working With Children Checks, First Aid, CPR, and approved swim teaching licences. We also complete Child Safe and Cultural Awareness Training to support all children respectfully and confidently.
We actively engage with the Australian Swim Schools Association and deliver the Royal Life Saving Victoria Swim and Survive Programme. We also maintain comprehensive insurance and a detailed Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy, available on request.

Education
At Swim 2 u®, we are dedicated to teaching swimming skills through a combination of fun and educational methods. Our instructors incorporate a variety of engaging activities such as games, songs, and music to create a joyful and relaxed learning environment. We also utilise educational and sensory toys that make lessons interactive and stimulating. This approach not only helps children learn important swimming techniques but also encourages their love for the water, ensuring that the skills they acquire are both effective and enjoyable for years to come.
Kids Helpline offers free, confidential, 24/7 support for young people aged 5 to 25 across Australia. Children and teens can call, chat online, or email trained counsellors whenever they need help, whether they feel stressed, upset, confused, or unsafe. The website also provides simple guides, interactive tools, real stories, and clear advice for both young people and their parents, so families can find support quickly and confidently.

I’ve been teaching swimming and water safety for 12 years and launched Swim 2 u® in January 2014.
Learning to swim is a life skill and it is imperative that ALL children learn to swim and understand water safety.
